Summer Institute for Culturally Responsive Education
Two men stand in front of a screen with a presentation about Embracing Cultural DiversityWe are incredibly proud to share that Booth-Fickett K-8 was represented at the annual Summer Institute for Culturally Responsive Education (SICRE), an inspiring event hosted by the Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and Instruction Department, in partnership with TUSD and the University of Arizona’s Department of Educational Policy Studies and Practice.

Mr. V and Mr. Buus were invited to participate in this amazing learning experience, and we’re excited to celebrate that Mr. V had the honor of presenting to fellow teachers and educators! He shared all the GREAT things happening right here at Booth-Fickett, highlighting the incredible work of our students, staff, and community. What an exciting opportunity to showcase our school and connect with educators who are passionate about culturally responsive teaching and learning!

Pete the Cat

Our students listened closely, laughed out loud, and fully embraced the joy of reading together. Experiences like this help build positive reading identities and reinforce that books are meant to be fun!
Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl

Cameron Manjarre, Fifth Grade Teacher at Booth Fickett Math and Science K8 School, attended the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl as an Extra Yard for Teachers recipient!
Mr. Manjarre was recognized on the field during the Dec. 27, 2025 bowl game, honoring his dedication to students and the lasting impact he makes in the classroom every day. As part of this recognition, he also received $1,000 for his classroom to support his work with students.

Congrats, Mr. Manjarre! Thank you for always going the extra yard for our students and representing TUSD and Booth Fickett with pride.


 
Palo Verde Band Performance
High school band performs for K-8 studentsOur campus was buzzing with excitement as the Palo Verde High School Band joined us for a surprise lunchtime performance! Our K–8 students loved the energy, school spirit, and incredible talent these musicians brought to our campus. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Falcons to see what awaits them in high school—and maybe even inspire some future band members!

A huge thank you to the Palo Verde Band for sharing their time, talent, and school pride with our community.
